Encircle helps people with developmental disabilities lead person centered and abundant lives. This position is primarily responsible for managing and overseeing Sponsored Residential Homes on an assigned caseload.
Responsibilities include ensuring services are delivered as needed and desired as defined in the Individual Service Plan (ISP), ensuring the individual’s health, medical and safety needs are met and hiring and supervising staff and Family Care Providers. The Manager is also responsible for ensuring that assigned service locations are in compliance with standards and fostering positive relationships with families and outside support.

Minimum Education, Training, Requirements And Prerequisites
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must qualify as "Qualified developmental disability professional" or "QDDP" which means a person who possesses at least one year of documented experience working directly with individuals who have a developmental disability and who possesses one of the following credentials: ( i ) a doctor of medicine or osteopathy licensed in Virginia, (ii) a registered nurse licensed in Virginia, (iii) a licensed occupational therapist, or (iv) completion of at least a bachelor's degree in a human services field, including sociology, social work, special education, rehabilitation counseling, or psychology.
- 1 year progressively responsible experience in ID/DD services to individuals.
- Minimum 1 year administration or supervisory experience with ID/DD services.
- Experience conducting and writing assessments and ISPs.
- Demonstrated skill in administrative program management and supervision.
- Good oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with state licensing, human rights, Medicaid and other agency standards.
- Ability to maintain records, prepare reports and complete required paperwork according to licensing and agency requirements in a timely manner.
- Computer and typing skills sufficient to perform essential job functions, experience working with Microsoft Office preferred.
- Ability to manage work schedule in order to meet the needs of the division and its programs.
- Flexibility to work at sites other than usual work location when circumstances warrant.
- DSP Supervisor Orientation Certification or ability to acquire certification prior to serving individuals.
- CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment.
- Certification in enCircle’s Crisis De-escalation/Behavior management or ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment.
- Valid Virginia Drivers’ license and proof of insurance in compliance with driver requirement policy.
- Satisfactory Driving Record in compliance with Driver Requirement Policy.
- Ability to successfully complete HCBS training.
- Medication Administration certification or ability to acquire Medication Administration certification.
- Access to a personal vehicle.
- M-F 40 Hours a week.
Essential Functions: May be required to perform any of the following duties:
- Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of and growth of assigned program.
- Participate in the referral and intake process.
- Provide administrative and operational supervision of assigned caseload.
- Maintain assigned caseload.
- Maintain facilities/locations.
- Upon discharge, complete discharge summary and forward closed chart for review.
- Work with community groups, referring agencies and others to facilitate the growth and development of the program.
- Maintain positive relations and constant communication with community partners and referral sources.
- Participate in the manager on-call rotation, as required.
- Complete annual training in Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) and applies principles during service delivery and documentation.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
