Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors based on design/engineering drawings and specifications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, cover, and install flat panels and curtains using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications. May sew simple covers as needed.
- Work with materials such as fabric, vinyl, leather hides, composites, and adhesives, using sewing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and install panels. May fabricate metal parts and fit components such as cabin headliners, upper sidewalls, lower side panels, hatch panels, and windows.
- Use the material tracking system to create part demands, track issues, and sign off on completed work.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist leads and senior technicians in process improvements to enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve efficiency using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Utilize the Corridor material tracking system for part requests and work tracking.
- Adhere to safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; use required personal protective equipment.
- Identify and address unsafe conditions to prevent risks to others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.
- Skilled in using measuring tools and performing basic math computations.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Physically capable of climbing ladders and stairs, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working any assigned shift.

Pay: $24.50 - $26.65 per hour
