Job Summary:
Industrial Engineering Technicians troubleshoot equipment and encoders, improve manufacturing processes, perform equipment maintenance, and suggest updates to work instructions.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and troubleshoot processes, material, or equipment problems and recommend solutions to Production Technical Supervisor
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical failures with malfunctioning encoders and repair unit, if possible
- Recommend revisions and improvements to manufacturing methods and work instructions
- Develop, procure, or modify existing and new tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Train production employees on new tooling and manufacturing equipment
- Conduct routine maintenance on manufacturing and test equipment
- Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities
- Other technician duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Minimum of 2 years technician experience preferred
- Experience with modeling software is preferred
- Good eye hand coordination and dexterity due to small parts required
Job Detail:
- Full time with benefits
- Day shift Monday through Friday 7AM to 3:30 PM
- Wage: $21.00-$24.00 or DOE
Essential Functions:
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (when required)
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Able to move regularly throughout the facility to respond to or investigate technical related issues
- Use of upper body, arms, and hands throughout the day
- Lifting 10-20 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
- Bending, stooping, and reaching overhead throughout the day to reach materials to move or pickup
- Normal color vision (due to different colored wires)
- Able to work regularly with epoxy, glues, sealants
