Receptionist!
- Answers all incoming calls and routes to appropriate area or individual.
- Greets all visitors; assists them in signing in and wearing badge.
- Enters and scans deposits, charges, and adjustments as directed.
- Assists in the entry of information related to admits, discharges, and physician changes.
- Runs and distributes census reports each morning and at end of day.
- Stamps all outgoing mail and monitors postage machine.
- Scans all correspondence and any miscellaneous items.
- Assists in the preparation of cash deposits as needed.
- Checks all therapy charges and attaches census to back of each therapist's batch.
- Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments.
- Meets position requirements and performs essential functions.
- Completes mandatory training and courses required by completion date.
- Reports questionable situations, concerns, complaints or harassment immediately.
- Receives patient deductible payments. Conducts monthly audit for charges.
Credentials:
- None
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Working knowledge of switchboard equipment preferred.
- Ability to use computer systems and complete data entry assignments preferred. 10-key data entry method preferred.
Machines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
- Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 10 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested
- when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling exceeds these minimum requirements.

Skills and Abilities:
- Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.
- Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking.
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
Environmental Conditions:
- Indoor, temperature controlled, smoke-free environment.
- Handicapped accessible.
- May work under stressful circumstances at times.
