We provide excellent clinical supervision and support for clinicians earning their hours towards licensure including weekly individual and group supervisions. Our clinical supervisors are highly experienced and qualified CA BBS therapists who are passionate about their role in supporting new clinicians to the mental health field.

Job Summary:
Encompass Youth Services Mental Health Program is currently hiring for a full time Mental Health Clinician with experience working with youth and families. This clinical position provides a combination of remote telehealth services and in-person services at our clinics and in the community. Services are provided for Medi-Cal youth ages 3-20 years and their families, including comprehensive psychosocial assessment, client-centered treatment planning, individual and family therapy, case management, and crisis support.
This position is full time, Monday through Friday, and holds an exempt status. There is flexibility for clinicians to manage their own work schedules during business days and options for working remotely with provided electronic mobile devices. We promote connectivity and support as a team through regular team meetings and open work stations at our clinics for staff.
Essential to this position is excellent documentation and time management skills, ability to meet direct service productivity expectations, and ability to work collaboratively with other service providers. Current enrollment in Master’s Degree Program (with definitive plans to apply to the CA BBS under AMFT or APCC) or registration with California BBS required – Quality individual and group supervision for license-track clinicians is provided to cover weekly clinical hours. Hourly pay differential for Spanish/English bilingual skills awarded upon qualification.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Medi-Cal documentation including: Progress notes, Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths assessments, psychosocial assessments and treatment planning
- Provide remote, office and field based mental services to youth and families
- Maintain appropriate and timely documentation through the Avatar system
- Attend weekly individual and group clinical supervision
- Work closely with Children’s Behavioral Health and other community providers
- Represent the agency in a professional and collaborative manner that fosters positive working relationships with other agencies and agency representatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in Master's Degree Program in Counseling or Psychology (with definitive plans to apply to the CA BBS under AMFT or APCC) or registration with the BBS required (LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC, LPCC only)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish welcomed but not required
- Clinical desire to work with diverse populations
- Established competency and experience in specialized areas of child, adolescent and family counseling is a plus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Word
- Proof of citizenship or right to work in the United States
- Criminal Record Clearance before hire.
- Valid Driver’s License and vehicle insurance
