At Encompass Community Supports, our full-time positions are 37.5 hours weekly.
At Encompass Community Supports our Recruiter administers the day-to-day operations of human resources functions such as: recruitment, on-boarding, record keeping and HRIS, as well as departmental development. Work is performed under regular supervision.
SOME OF THE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers Recruitment Process: Partners with hiring managers to select the best candidates for the position.
- Advertises job openings; writes and posts job ads on different venues.
- Processes applications as they arrive on a daily basis and maintains filing system.
- Schedules interviews and communicates verbally, by email, text and regular mail with all candidates.
- Keeps managers and applicants apprised of the status of recruitment actions.
- Conducts reference and background checks; verifies credentials for selected candidates.
- Obtains necessary approval for employment offers and extends verbal offers of employment.
- Mails out the candidate offer letter packet.
- Administers On-boarding Process: Coordinates new employee orientation on a bi-weekly basis; prepares and tracks paperwork required for new hires.
- Administers Record Keeping and HRIS: Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner; maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements; maintains HRIS database and generates requested reports; audits database to ensure accuracy; enters all new employees into the federal E-Verify database.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists during any Human Resources audit.
- Attends training and maintains certifications as required by the Agency and regulatory guidelines.
- Performs related tasks as required.

- Must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality.

- Must have excellent organization skills and work well under pressure.
- Must adhere to deadlines.
- Must be a team player.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Intermediate Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid Virginia Driver’s License.
- Employment with Encompass Community Supports is contingent upon the successful completion of our background check process, including but not limited to: Criminal, DMV, Education, Drug screening, Reference checks, DSS, OIG and SAM).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous Recruiting Experience.
