The Licensed Practical Nurse II is responsible for providing direct patient care to inpatients; observing patient behavior, vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment; reporting findings to registered nurse; and carrying out the patient's plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTSLicense or Certification :
- Current LPN / LVN licensure appropriate to state regulations
- CPR (BLS) certification required. If mandated by state regulations, ACLS required.Minimum Qualifications :
- One or more years of experience as a licensed LPN / LVN required.Machines, Equipment Used :
- General office equipment such as computer / laptop, telephone, copy / fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
- Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.Physical Requirements :
- Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds including medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and / or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.Skills and Abilities :
- Oral communication, written communication, active listening. Must be able to speak and understand English.
- Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking.
