What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Technican position at Encompass Therapy Center?
Position Summary:
Encompass Therapy Center is hiring experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to provide one-to-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a center or home-based setting. Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Behavior Intervention Plans to decrease problem behaviors, and skill acquisition goals to increase socially appropriate behaviors which are designed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). We are currently hiring a full-time (30-40 hours/week) Behavior Technician to provide services in Bay County and Auburn, MI. Encompass Therapy Center is accredited through the Behavioral Health Center of Excellence.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide quality one-to-one ABA to children with ASD focusing on communication, social, play, and adaptive skills
- Record objective daily data to reflect client progress toward goals
- Maintain objective daily session notes
- Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and therapy environment
- Maintain client confidentiality
- Be able to lift 30-40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Create a fun, interactive and engaging environment for clients
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Psychology, Social Work, Sociology)
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential strongly preferred, if none, training will be provided and required within 6 months of hire
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
