$32.86 - $45.65/hour Depending on Experience

Our Mental Health Team is hiring a part-time Child and Family Therapist! Join our team of providers and our mission as we partner with families to build healthy foundations and community where all children thrive.
You will be joining a team that is focused on holistic care to meet the critical individual needs of the developing child and support for the family. You will be working with a team of providers offering multidisciplinary care in a community that connects with, encourages, and builds relationships with one another.
SCOPE: The Encompass Child and Family Therapist will work with families with children from birth through 11 years old. Our team focuses on offering children and their grownups supportive services with felt safety, connection, and positive regard. Join our team of providers as we partner with families to build healthy foundations and a community where all children thrive.
Through reflective consultation and growth-minded supervision with the Mental Health Director, the Child and Family Therapist provides mental health services for children aged 0 to 11 years and their caregivers as part of the Encompass Pediatric Therapy program. The Mental Health team also provides monthly parent workshops, consultation in school/daycare settings, and innovative group therapy for the families of our community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Complete evaluations and offer therapy services to a 50% FTE caseload of clients

Collaborate with client’s family, school, and community stakeholders as needed

Maintain client records per program, insurance, and confidentiality guidelines and fidelity

Monitor and track caseload requirements with ongoing new referrals

Referrals to external/internal supports

Observe behavior and appropriately intervene in situations

Work independently and participate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.

Professional independent judgment in planning own work, formulating recommendations and making decisions.

Staff consultation/development/training

Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Master’s degree in Social work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology or other related field with current Washington State license is required
- In-depth interest in working in infant/pediatric mental health
- Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
- Certified in Evidence-based Practices or willingness to be trained.
- Infant and child CPR, first aid, and blood borne pathogens training within 90 days of hire
- Upon hire pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check
Preferred:
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
- Preferred competency in one or more of the following areas of professional and/ or lived experience: LGBTQIA , Racial equity, BIPOC families, Multi-racial identity, Immigrant families, Neurodiversity and Disability justice
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is an active job requiring lifting of up to 30 lbs, frequently squatting, sitting on the floor and active work with children. Incumbent may come into contact with bodily fluid.
