Graphic Design and Illustration Consultants
to support our multimedia projects. We are looking for professionals with expertise in creating a diverse range of high-quality visual assets, such as custom vector illustrations, infographics, icons, branded materials, and other design elements that will enhance EnCompass's learning products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual design, demonstrating the ability to craft impactful and engaging imagery that meets client needs and adheres to branding guidelines. Proficiency with digital illustration tools, typography, and layout design is essential. Candidates should also be highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and capable of managing tight deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are fundamental for success in this role.
Under the supervision of a team member from the Digital Learning Hub, the consultant will collaborate with internal teams, including subject matter experts, e-learning developers, multimedia specialists, and clients. The consultant will ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, meet quality standards, and align with project requirements. Assignments, timelines, and deliverables will be provided by the designated project point of contact.

Position Duties and Responsibilities
Illustrative tasks for the consultant position may include :
Conceptualize and propose creative ideas for developing branding elements based on client objectives.Collaborate with team members to understand requirements, target audience, and key messaging.Create vector illustrations (including characters, scenes, infographics, etc.) to incorporate within learning products such as e-learning courses, videos, animations, and documents.Design layouts for learning products, storyboards, and other deliverables as needed.Customize assets including graphics, photos, typography, etc.Revise illustrations and graphic elements based on client feedback.Ensure deliverables meet accessibility standards (e.g., appropriate color contrast and text readability).Adhere to the agreed upon project timeline and level of effort.Attend meetings as needed.Provide all design source files and assets upon project completion.Other duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications
Academic Qualifications
Minimum of High school diploma and 7 years of experience; Associate's degree and 5 years of experience; Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience; or Master's degree and 1 year of experience.Experience and Skills
Required :

Experience in supporting international development projects and donor funded procurements and subcontracts.Experience in virtual instructor-led training (webinar) production and supporting hybrid or in-person facilitation.Knowledge of platforms used for e-learning, animation, videos, and other digital learning elements (particularly Articulate Storyline, Rise, Vyond) advantageous.Experience with US Government financial reporting and compliance processes and requirements.Experience with Google Workspace products.Experience supporting development of 508 compliant products and activities.Fluency in language(s) other than English, particularly French and / or Spanish, are preferred.Experience working or living in more than one country.
