What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Laser Cutting and Press Brake Specialist position at ENCON EVAPORATORS?
OPPORTUNITY: EMS Fabrication, based in Londonderry, NH, is a sheet metal fabricator and division of ENCON Evaporators who manufactures industrial wastewater tanks and equipment. This position is responsible for daily operation and maintenance of the Trumpf punch/laser and press brake machines.We are looking for an experienced laser and brake operator to join our team and help drive our operations forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read and interpret part drawings and blue prints
- Ability to program laser and press brakes
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and orderly.
- Ability to properly set up tooling for machine
- Ability to handle material safely and in a manner which prevents damaging the material
- Use labor-reporting system/ routing paperwork to track all time spent on all jobs.
- Load sheet metal onto the machines.
- Deburring and finishing parts as needed according to prints, followed by packaging parts as required
- Conduct various QA inspections on parts to ensure quality and accuracy within tolerances specified on drawings
- Ability to follow and execute a preventative maintenance schedule
- Must communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure delivery schedules, customer requirements, and product improvements are met.
- Position requires individual to be an independent and organized worker who can be given work orders to complete with little supervision after initial training.
- Attendance is important, and overtime is available when workload dictates.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years experience operating and maintaining the above referenced equipment. Experience with Trumpf lasers and press brakes is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent desired.
- Able to read mechanical engineered drawings (blueprints)/knowledge of engineered specified tolerances.
- Able to effectively change machinery for multiple set-ups given various product lines and material requirements.
- Able to use precision hand tools such as square, protractor and caliper.
- Ability to regularly lift 40 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for long periods.
- Ability to use a PC including Microsoft Office Applications and time tracking software to track customer orders and communicate effectively with co-workers
- Willingness to be flexible and help out in other areas when needed to ensure jobs are completed on time and to help company meet objectives.
