Job Responsibilities HVAC Residential Install Crew Leader
- Collaborate with technicians, project managers, clients/contractors, and installers to meet project goals.
- Understand the layout of ductwork systems and equipment; read blueprints.
- Understand new construction and retrofit projects.
- Use knowledge of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association “SMACNA” for ductwork installation.
- Order materials in advance for projects or work with purchasing team.
- Execute work independently and able to supervise and lead multiple crews to complete projects.
- Proactively evaluate possible obstacles to project completion and determine possible solutions in partnership with super intendent or builder and management.
- Help schedule projects and appropriate technician and installer support to achieve project deadlines.
- Attend team meetings as needed.
Required Skills & Experience HVAC Residential Install Crew Leader
- Years of experience in HVAC Residential Installation
- Must have current Connecticut trade license.
- Able to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
- Must have experience to demonstrate pro-active approach to problem solving.
- Strong decision-making ability.
- Highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also perform independently.
- Excellent attendance is an essential function.
- Critical thinking skills and good decision-making ability.
Eligibility Requirements HVAC Residential Install Crew Leader
- Employment/education will be verified.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Encon is a drug free workplace and requires post-offer pre-employment drug testing.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license.
- Eligible to work weekends and nights as needed.
Physical Requirements HVAC Residential Install Crew Leader
- Able to work in a variety of extreme weather, hot and cold conditions.
- Able to work safely in confined spaces such as attics, basements, closets, and crawl spaces.
- Able to work safely at elevated heights such as rooftops, ceilings, and ladders.
- Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
- Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights.
- Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
