Description

ENCON is seeking a CT trade licensed talented candidate responsible for installation of plumbing systems in residential homes. Work with Crew Leads, and Project Managers, Project Coordinator, and Sales team to deliver successfully completed projects for our customers.

Wage Range: $25-$40/hr. Commensurate with Experience quarterly bonus

$5k SIGN ON BONUS for CT HVAC license of type: S1, S2, S10, and P2.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Install geothermal systems, hydronic plumbing systems, boilers, radiant heat, hot water heaters, gas piping in residential homes
• Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of piping practices including hydronic, gas piping, and geothermal piping.
• Proven ability to work with different materials such as copper, PEX, iron, polypropylene, etc.
• Proven skills in soldering, fusion welding, screwed fittings, propress, etc.
• Layout and install equipment as needed.
• Perform water balancing with flow meters and recognize when and what problems exist from the test.
• Compile a complete materials list from blueprints.
• Verify and coordinate HVAC building code compliance.
• Create work orders for projects as change orders are required.
• Be a resource and provide support for the Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Superintendent and Crew Leads.
• Review shop drawings/material requests and coordinate with project team to ensure accuracy.
• Anticipate challenges on projects and provide feedback to your supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Knowledge of normal safety practices pertaining to the trade.
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, flexible and team player
• Good communication skills; written and verbal
• Positive attitude with good organizational skills. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks

Desired Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3-4 years of experience installing HVAC, heating/cooling systems, and temperature control systems

Eligibility Requirements

• Valid drivers license.
• OSHA 10 or 30
• S or P license CT trade license
• Employment/education will be verified.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Physical Requirements

• Able to work in a variety of extreme weather, hot and cold conditions.
• Able to work safely in confined spaces such as attics, basements, closets, and crawl spaces.
• Able to work safely at elevated heights such as rooftops, ceilings, and ladders.
• Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
• Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
• Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights.
• Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
