Job Summary:
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for asset management and reporting for a portfolio of loans to support the
commercial team. The Portfolio Manager also supports underwriting and business development in strengthening
relationships with clients.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze and assess the financial statements and credit history of existing and potential clients.
• Prepare Credit Reviews for each loan on a regular schedule to review overall asset quality, including
performance against original underwriting expectations
• Preparing credit applications and perform credit checks.
• Structure deals and perform risk assessments
• Conferring with credit associations and references to exchange credit information on clients
• Evaluating the financial status of clients by producing financial ratios through computer programs
• Consulting and negotiating with clients regarding financial transactions, payment terms, and credit limits.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and submit applications on time
• Effective understanding of business, economic and industry risk.
• Ability to accurately perform financial forecasting
• Create, edit, and maintain necessary records to log and track activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the
satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill
and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some

• 2-5 years of Commercial Banking experience related to credit analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other business related fields
• Proficiency in analyzing and understanding financial statements, ratios and concepts
• Ability to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high pressure work environment with
varying degrees of supervision
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Computer and Office Equipment Skills:
• Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
