What are the responsibilities and job description for the INTERN position at Encore Dredging Partners?
Encore Dredging Partners is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Office Intern to support a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. This position is a great opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in a professional office environment. The intern will assist with general office duties, including document management, data entry, file organization, and day-to-day operations.
Essential Functions (This is not all-inclusive)
- Upholds the Company’s commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practices
- Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures
- Assists with scanning and organizing paper documents into an electronic filing system
- Shreds or files physical documents after digitization following company procedures
- Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with care
- Performs general administrative duties as needed for the corporate office
- Provides support for special projects and other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Interested in, currently pursuing, or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stay focused on repetitive tasks
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a part-time, temporary position. Work is scheduled up to 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and is flexible based on availability and department needs.
