Overview
The Junior Field Engineer position is tailored for recent graduates with less than six months of experience. It’s an on-the-job training opportunity with career advancement at 12 months and 24 months. This position is for those who have earned a degree and are seeking a career opportunity in marine construction. This position will prepare you for the Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification with the US Army Corps of Engineers.
What to Expect
- The water is your office view.
- This is a marine/waterway-based position, and the client requires the engineers to be on-site (dredge-based) throughout the shift.
- 20 paid weeks off a year.
- The schedule is 17 days on, followed by 11 days off. During your routinely scheduled 11 days off, you will receive your predetermined compensation. We are transparent; once we provide an offer of employment, your compensation will be explained in detail in the pre-offer letter.

- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Science or a related field, graduation date of 2024.
- Ability to travel
- Ability to be reassigned to other locations such as other states.
- Ability to operate survey boat
- Ability to be trained to collect and process hydrographic surveys
- Ability to be trained in producing and submitting accurate daily production reports
- Ability to be trained in Dredge Quality Management
- Able to safely work on the water in small boats and vessels
- OSHA Certified preferred
- Must have valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description
- Intermediate-level knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Projects, and Word, Outlook)
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with internal and external teams
- Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (observed drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing
- Must be authorized to work in the US. This position is not eligible for a work visa sponsorship.
