Our continued growth and success has created the need for an Fire Alarm Inspector working out of our Parsippany, NJ office.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Troubleshoot and inspect both basic and complex fire alarm systems with limited or no supervision.
- Conduct regular inspections in accordance with NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code) and local regulations.
- Use our web-based platform, ServiceTrade, to document deficiencies, malfunctions, or violations related to fire alarm systems.
- Ensure alarm panels, detectors, notification devices, and emergency power systems are all operational.
- Coordinate with contractors, customers, building maintenance, and office staff to get the job done.
- Identify code and non-conformance issues and make recommendations for system improvements or upgrades.
- Show an exceptional work ethic and eye for detail in all tasks.
Requirements:
- Three (3) years fire alarm industry experience with training and a High School diploma
- Individual must possess a valid Driver’s license and have a clean driving record
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, Fire Alarm System Theory, OSHA Requirements, and Industry Standards for Fire Alarm systems installation.
- Experience with a variety of system manufacturers including Gamewell-FCI, Siemens, Notifier, Edwards, Simplex, Honeywell, Firelite, etc.
