Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry tasks, including flooring installation, drywall. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
- Perform flooring installation and ensure proper alignment and fitting.
- Install siding on buildings to enhance aesthetics and protection against weather elements.
- Assess water damage restoration needs and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lead/Carpenter or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in carpentry.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength for lifting heavy materials.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation to job sites.
