What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle Specialist position at Encore Physical Therapy?
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The revenue cycle specialist is a non-licensed worker who has completed an on-the-job training program. The primary function of the revenue cycle specialist is to be responsible for all insurance billing and collection of patient accounts and assist the billing manager with their daily tasks.
SPECIAL DEMANDS
Requires a strong understanding of medical billing and a high comfort level with medical billing software. Must be able to accept responsibility and respect authority. Must demonstrate good judgment and common sense. Must be willing to work under pressure. Must be able to accept constructive criticism. Must be able to hold in confidence medical records of all patients. Must be able to work with individuals of all ages.
QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years medical billing experience required.
