What do you need to be successful?
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or closely related health field.
- REGISTERED:BOC Certification. Licensure by the Alabama Board of Athletic Trainers.
- CPR/AED for Healthcare Provider Certification
- You are client centered and enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- You have strong verbal/written communication skills and have the ability to work with different personalities
- You use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making client decisions
- You have demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development
- You have a valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle
What is a day in the life of an Athletic Trainer?
- Aid in the evaluation of injuries or illness sustained by an athlete, identify injury/illness risk factors associated with participation in competitive sports, and provide health care information and counsel to athletes, parents, and coaches.
- You will help patients in establishing and meeting meaningful goals within their home and in a community setting
- You will help create and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning with a physical therapist
- You will liaise with a variety of community partners and rehab professionals to facilitate client goals and independence
- You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational days; training sessions, and establishing personal networks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
