Director of Engineering

Encore RV, LLC, based in Elkhart, Indiana, manufactures 100% wood-free towable RVs with all-aluminum frames and chassis. Specializing in the growing Adventure Trailer segment, we recently debuted our innovative travel trailers featuring our patent-pending Core-Lite construction. These lightweight, durable trailers keep us price-competitive with larger manufacturers while delivering superior quality.

We are expanding our senior leadership team and are seeking a Director of Engineering. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to help shape the future of recreational vehicles at Encore RV.

Leadership and Team Oversight

·        Lead and manage the engineering department, providing guidance on day-to-day projects.

·        Ensure all engineering projects align with company objectives, timelines, and budget constraints.

·        Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Product Development & Design

·        Actively participate in the design and development of RV components, systems, and new models.

·        Contribute to design and prototyping, solving complex engineering challenges hands-on.

·        Maintain up to date print packs.

·        Create electrical and plumbing prints as needed.

·        Ensure all designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

·        Stay informed about advancements in RV design and manufacturing technologies.

Experience/ Knowledge / Skills

·        Engineering Experience Required (RV engineering experience preferred)

·        Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks

·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

·        Positive attitude and passion for your work.

·        RV industry experience preferred (priority consideration for candidates with RV engineering experience).

Necessary Skills & Abilities

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

·        Excellent communication skills.
