Resources Manager

Encore Talent Solutions has partnered with a client in search of a Resource Planning Analyst on a contract-to-hire basis.

The Resource Planning Analyst will be doing 90% of scheduling for the clients software development teams making sure their resources on each team are deployed effectively.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Resource Planning Analyst is responsible for optimizing the allocation and utilization of resources across various projects and operational activities within the organization. This role involves analyzing resource needs, forecasting demand, and creating efficient schedules to ensure that resources are deployed effectively. The Resource Planning Analyst works closely with project managers, department heads, and team leaders to identify resource constraints, resolve conflicts, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to drive resource efficiency and overall business performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and manage scheduling processes across departments, ensuring adequate resource allocation.
• Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects, ensuring optimal use of personnel and technology.
• Continuously assess and optimize schedules to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with department heads, supervisors, Project Managers to align scheduling of resources for internal and external project requirements.
• Identify potential risks related to resource availability and propose solutions to mitigate issues.
• Address scheduling conflicts and challenges, finding effective solutions to maintain workflow.
• Analyze scheduling data and metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
• Prepare reports on scheduling performance, resource utilization, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure schedules adhere to quality standards and customer expectations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate emergency scheduling adjustments when unforeseen circumstances arise.
• Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 8 years progressive experience, business administration, project management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven experience in scheduling, project management, or resource management within a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of scheduling processes, software, and methodologies.
• Experience using one or more tools such as Jira, Smart Sheet, Azure DevOps is desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with departments and customers.
• Proficient in analyzing scheduling data and making data-driven decisions.
• Effective problem-solving abilities to address scheduling conflicts and challenges.
• Knowledge of resource allocation principles and best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and department heads.
• Strong time-management skills to manage multiple scheduling tasks and deadlines.
• Willingness to adapt to changing operational needs and scheduling priorities.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, accuracy, deadlines and reporting.
• High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.
