Your Role

As a Trainee Co-Driver, officially titled Entertainer Coach Operator Trainee (ECO Trainee) at Encore, you are entering an exclusive training program designed to prepare you for a career in luxury entertainment transportation. This program provides hands-on experience in operating high-end entertainer coaches while learning the standards of client service required to deliver a premium travel experience.

During this 4-week pass/fail training program, you will develop essential skills in safety, compliance, vehicle maintenance, and high-touch client interaction. This is a customer-facing role, meaning professionalism, adaptability, and attention to detail are critical. Trainees must be comfortable working directly with high-profile clients, including musicians, bands, celebrities, and other influential figures.

The training program ensures that upon successful completion, you will have the knowledge, confidence, and skills to transition into a Co-Driver (Entertainer Coach Operator) and, in some cases, a Driver role based on performance and company needs.

Responsibilities

Driving and Client Interaction

• Safely operate high-end entertainer coaches while pulling a trailer.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, reflecting Encore’s high standards.
• Manage direct interactions with clients, ensuring a seamless luxury experience.
• Provide exceptional customer service and adapt to client preferences on the road.

Vehicle and Compliance Management

• Conduct detailed pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Follow all DOT and FMCSA regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) and compliance standards.
• Address over-the-road mechanical issues and coordinate with Encore Fleet Services for resolution.
• Maintain the interior and exterior of the coach, including:
  • Cleaning floors, restrooms, and interior spaces.
  • Taking out trash and refreshing client areas.
  • Changing bed linens and maintaining stock of essential onboard supplies.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
• Valid DOT medical certificate (issued by an authorized medical examiner from the National Medical Registry).
• Clean MVR & Drug/Alcohol Clearinghouse Report.
• Ability to comply with all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Training Program Details

• 4-week intensive pass/fail course (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (CT)).
• Company-paid accommodations at a facility of our choosing.
• Company-paid flights to and from Nashville, TN.
• Trainee pay Per diem.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with high-profile clients and team members.
• Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work well with co-drivers and tour members in a professional setting.
• Adaptability to the entertainment industry’s fast-paced and high-touch service expectations.
