What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Enrichment Associate (Activities) Healthcare position at Encore Village of Schaumburg?
Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for a full time Life Enrichment (activities) position in our Briarwood Healthcare Department. This is a 30 hour per week position with rotating weekends. Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Manager, will assist with the facilitation of activities and programming in Briarwood Healthcare.
Responsibilities :
- Capable of leading, creating, preparing, facilitating, and executing activity programs and one on one casual visits as scheduled or needed.
- Provide assistance to residents on escorted trips; provide assistance with special events and all holiday programs.
- Maintain documentation in the EMR system in accordance with facility policy / protocol including but not limited to : assessments, progress notes, care plans, attendance and description of visits.
- Communicates well with the supervisor, residents and other associates about all activity related concerns and needs.
- Cooperates well with associates, families, residents and volunteers, fostering an environment that is resident centered and successful. Teaches volunteers their roles by sharing knowledge and instructing them on their responsibilities in the activity process.
- Functions as an effective Briarwood team member, works well with many of the other departments. Works well with the C.N.A.'s to promote resident participation and interaction.
- Contributes to department by completing assigned tasks / duties and offering program suggestions and contributes to the monthly calendar creation for each neighborhood.
- Tracks and maintains individual compliance with yearly education requirements per IDPH regulations. Maintains educational compliance through our training software program.
- Able to train new activity employees.
