What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehabilitation Technician position at Encore Village of Schaumburg?
Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for a part time Rehabilitation Technician. The Rehabilitation Technician assists the therapists and assistants with patient related activities and patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the therapist and assistant in clerical and patient, client, team member related duties.
- Perform clerical work as directed, including computerized activities.
- Consistently attends work and provides appropriate notice for scheduled vacations.
- Participate in department meetings and in facility meetings as assigned.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Develop and maintain a filing system.
- Assist with treatment as directed by therapist.
- Coordinate work activities with members of other departments and other staff within the rehabilitation department
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and team building approach with all patients, clients,, team members.
- Transport patients as scheduled to and from treatment areas.
- Prepare patients for treatment.
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment areas and department.
- Assist with maintaining an adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in patient/resident care in a nursing facility, hospital, or rehabilitation facility preferred. Therapy students will be considered.
