The Assistant Area Coordinator is responsible for the administration and support of all company wellness services including, but not limited to, strength training, fall prevention, group fitness classes, weight management and virtual wellness programs in addition to assisting in training and oversight of assigned front office, physical therapy, and wellness staff. Such responsibilities encompass not only the internal functioning of the department but also the integration of the department into the overall functioning of the organization. This position travels to fill in for Front Office, PT Aide and Wellness Coach positions at both Las Vegas locations.
Mileage will be reimbursed.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with interviewing and making recommendations for potential candidates.
- Trains new wellness coach, front office, and physical therapy team members
- Leads, motivates, and assists with supervising staff, sets clear guidelines and expectations, and provides open and ongoing communication to maximize performance, and department engagement scores.
- Performs monthly audits.
- Adheres to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
- Continuously assesses and improves the quality of service provided.
- Assures compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Demonstrates goal-directed behavior.
- Exemplifies company culture by providing excellent “Aim Your Smile” customer service.
- Demonstrates communication ability and creates channels to facilitate effective communication within the department and the organization.
- Performs maintenance and cleaning responsibilities of the exercise floor and equipment and accurately records them in the appropriate logs.
- Ability to perform all Wellness Coach, Front Office and PT Aide duties and responsibilities.
- Travels to other Encore Wellness locations as needed to provide in-person coaching and/or coverage as needed.
- Participates in partnering with our Healthcare partners to represent Encore Wellness at events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate or student of a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology or 2 years of fitness background/training
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; with the ability to work at both Las Vegas locations
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
- Exceptional customer service
- Flexibility to change from one task to another with minimal effort
