Job Summary:
Encore Wire is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This entry-level position bridges the gap between an Accounting Clerk and a General Ledger Accountant, assisting with day-to-day accounting operations while gaining exposure to financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations. Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable Support

Process vendor payments according to payment calendar, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments.

Assist in reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable sub ledgers to the general ledger.

Review cash application and collection efforts to maintain accurate bank records.
General Ledger & Financial Support

Prepare and post basic journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.

Assist in monthly bank and account reconciliations.

Support the month-end and year-end close processes by compiling financial data.

Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
Compliance & Process Improvement:

Adhere to internal accounting policies and procedures.

Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in accounting processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills:

1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
