Internship Overview:
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and production optimization. This internship is an excellent opportunity to apply engineering principles in a real-world manufacturing setting and contribute to efficiency and quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in analyzing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support the design and implementation of production layouts, tools, and workstations.
- Conduct time studies and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in troubleshooting production issues and developing solutions.
- Work on automation and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Participate in quality control and assurance processes, including data collection and analysis.
- Assist with documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance departments.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must at least be a Sophomore level to be considered
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and process improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with different teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
