Summary
Responsible for quoting prices and communicating availability of products, receiving and processing orders, and informing sales reps and customers of open order status. Initiate and resolve customer service requests. Request and coordinate assistance from technical support groups. The focus is on exceptional service for internal and external customers. Maintain complete and accurate files. Must function with minimal direct supervision in a team environment in order to meet or exceed departmental goals. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, reps, co-workers and supervisors.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Primary inside contact and coordinator for sales people and/or agents to enable them to respond quickly and accurately to customer needs and opportunities
- Quote specialist with competitive market knowledge as well as insight into capacity availability/customer needs
- Quote prices and availability of products and follow-up on quotes. Utilize established guidelines. Coordinate with sales team and managers on large quotes to balance opportunity with capacity and margin growth objectives.
- Must understand territory and competitors in order to make informed decisions regarding pricing.
- Recognize and coordinate quotes that overlap into other territories.
- Utilize the phone to enhance customer relations and build rapport. Proactively make contact with key customers and reps to generate inquiries and opportunities.
- Monitor key measurements for customers, driving toward established sales and margin goals. Provide expertise on Encore Wire systems and help develop reports to ensure that goals are met.
- Request and coordinate assistance from sales team, technical support and/or other departments to resolve customer inquiries.
- Assist the team in preparing for customer meetings, presentations and shows by coordinating literature, PowerPoint presentations, and sales reports. May require periodic travel to customer locations to assist with demonstrations, shows or meetings.
- Perform in a team environment by achieving personal goals and function as support for national team members to meet departmental objectives, along with territory goals.
- Must gain the necessary knowledge to become familiar with all aspects of the Encore Wire product line.
- Recognize and coordinate quotes that overlap into other territories.
- Understand Encore Wire sales policies and procedures in order to make referrals.
- Be a self-starter and understand the bigger picture that Encore Wire is trying to achieve. Be able to work without management direction throughout the day.
- Be available for occasional customer dinners and other relationship building activities outside of normal working hours.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by supervision.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree highly desired or a combination of education and experience required.
- Prior inside sales experience is preferred (3-4 years).
- Inside project management experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required.
- Must possess excellent organizational and project management abilities, along with exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be capable of becoming skilled at using NetSuite, JDA (Blue Yonder), and other systems as needed.
- Basic sales knowledge and a competitive nature is desired.
- Proven initiative and demonstrated drive in the sales field.
- Independent decision-making skills exemplifying good business acumen and ethics.
- Accuracy focused, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- Proven accountability, dependability, and consistent follow-through with customer needs.
- Must possess problem-solving skills, including the ability to provide sound solutions to market challenges and customer needs.
