Position Overview:
We are seeking to recruit a Data Analyst to assist the Maintenance department in assessing and interpreting MTBF data from multiple sources, including a computer management system. The insights you provide will help the team concentrate on critical issues and components, ultimately reducing downtime and enhancing equipment efficiency leading to increased machine output. The preferred candidate will have a strong foundation in problem-solving and analytical strategies, with proficiency in diverse data analysis tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering data from various sources, including CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) systems, sensors, and historical records.
- Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Organizing and cleaning data for analysis.
- Analyzing historical data to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues.
- Predicting equipment failures and optimizing maintenance schedules.
- Identifying root causes of equipment failures.
- Analyzing asset performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Creating reports and dashboards to visualize data and insights.
- Communicating findings and recommendations to maintenance teams and leadership team.
- Utilizing data analysis to predict equipment failures before they occur, enabling proactive maintenance.
- Monitoring the condition of equipment and determining when maintenance is required based on data analysis.
- Optimizing the performance of assets by identifying areas for improvement based on data analysis.
- Identifying inefficiencies and waste through data analysis to reduce costs.
- Providing data-driven insights to facilitate better decision-making.
- Leveraging CMMS software to streamline data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- The applicant must possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, enabling them to convey essential information effectively to department leaders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required, along with the capability to learn any additional software that the department may adopt.
- Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is advantageous. A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred, or alternatively, a minimum of three years of experience in data analysis is acceptable.
- The ideal candidate should be able to meet the physical requirements of the role, which include walking, stooping, sitting, bending, reaching for items stored overhead, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Additionally, the candidate must be able to operate a motor vehicle and perform tasks that require manual dexterity, such as using a computer.
- The work schedule consists of 10-hour shifts, five days a week, primarily conducted in an office setting without the need for travel to external sites.
