Senior Electrical Engineer

Encorus Group is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Depew, NY office. If you thrive on tackling diverse electrical design challenges across the AEC and Industrial sectors, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you’ll take the lead on power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm systems, automation design, and NEC code compliance—seeing projects through from concept to completion with minimal oversight. Responsibilities:

• Define project requirements, delegate tasks to staff, and oversee projects through to completion, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of deliverables
• Serve as a project manager, handling correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, design considerations, and drawings
• Review and redline existing drawings, maintain project documentation, and coordinate project files
• Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals, including architects and engineers, to ensure seamless design integration
• Independently manage projects of moderate size and complexity while supporting senior engineers on larger, more intricate assignments
• Assist project managers with correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, design concepts, calculations, and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer, corporate, and industry standards
• Apply industry best practices and company standards to oversee the development of calculations, project drawings, and specifications
• Mentor and guide entry-level engineers, providing technical development, progress reviews, and coaching
• Coordinate with internal and external partners—including cross-discipline teams, construction teams, vendors, fabricators, and clients—to address electrical-related challenges
• Execute advanced engineering tasks that require creativity and critical thinking, solving unique electrical challenges that may have limited or no direct code guidance
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field
• 10 years of electrical engineering and design experience, with a preference for consulting experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MathCAD, Trace, SolidWorks Simulation or similar analytical software)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests
• A valid driver's license, along with the ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state
