Job Overview:
ENCOS is seeking to hire a full time Environmental Field Technician (LDAR) for the Geismar, LA area. Primary job duties include fugitive emissions monitoring at petrochemical facilities using environmental air sampling techniques, involving complex analyzers and instrumentation. Candidate must be comfortable working in a highly regulated, detail oriented environment where strict adherence to rules and procedures is required at all times. Candidate will utilize a variety of applicable data collection and evaluation techniques, and develop/maintain records.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Perform fugitive emissions monitoring utilizing Method 21 policies and procedures;
- Daily Analyzer calibration;
- Routine repair and maintenance of analyzers; and
- Quarterly certification of analyzers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have good oral and written communications skills
- Will perform work in adverse weather conditions on the field (Work in hot/cold environments, inclement weather)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Will be required to work at heights
- Ability to climb tower ladders 100 ft. , ascending/descending stairs up to ten flights or more
- Ability to wear a full body harness and fall arrest system in addition to up to 30 lb. backpack containing monitoring equipment
- Overtime may be required.
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen and physical
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous LDAR experience or experience working in petrochemical facilities/outdoor industrial environments preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
