We are seeking a Structural Project Manager to join our Structural team and contribute to our success.


Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager with a minimum of 6 years of structural engineering design experience to join our team. In this role, you will lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception through construction, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality. You will serve as the engineer of record, overseeing the design and production of construction documents while mentoring junior engineers and leading project teams.

The Structural Project Manager will also play an integral role in business development by preparing structural fee proposals, fostering new client relationships, and enhancing existing client partnerships. This role offers an opportunity for career advancement, with potential for growth into the leadership of the structural engineering department.


Key Responsibilities:

·        Project Management:

o  Serve as the Engineer of Record for all assigned projects.

o  Oversee the design and production of construction documents for structural engineering projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance with codes, and quality.

o  Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of projects.

o  Perform rigorous quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of all engineering work and documentation under your supervision.


·        Team Leadership & Mentoring:

o  Lead and direct junior engineers in the design and production process, providing guidance and mentorship.

o  Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring junior engineers are developing and advancing their technical and professional skills.


·        Business Development & Client Relations:

o  Prepare and present structural fee proposals for new projects.

o  Cultivate new client relationships and strengthen existing client partnerships to generate new business opportunities.

o  Participate in business development efforts, including networking, marketing, and client outreach to drive the company’s growth.


·        Technical Expertise & Collaboration:

o  Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and innovative structural engineering practices.

o  Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of structural designs.


·        Growth Potential:

o  Potential to grow into the lead for the structural engineering department, overseeing the team and setting strategic goals for the department.


Qualifications:

·        Education:

o  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on structures.


·        Experience:

o  6 years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.

o  Proven experience in managing multiple projects and teams.

o  Strong experience in overseeing the production of construction documents and performing QA/QC reviews.


·        Skills:

o  Expertise in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Revit, RAM Structural System, RISA, etc.).

o  Strong knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, IBC, etc.).

o  Excellent project management and leadership skills.

o  Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.


·        Certifications:

o  Professional Engineer (PE) license required (SE license a plus).

o  LEED certification or other industry certifications a plus.
