Salary: $70,000-$90,000, commensurate with experience
Job Summary: The Partnerships Manager is tasked with developing and cultivating relationships with political organizations, advocacy groups, and influencers that align with the organization’s mission to combat big money in politics, fight corruption and protect voting rights. They will join a collaborative work environment and help ensure ECU continues increasing its alliances with partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate coalition efforts by working closely with internal teams and external partners to align strategies, share resources, and amplify collective impact in pursuit of shared policy goals and electoral successes.
- Nurture ongoing partnerships to ensure successful collaboration, including organizing joint events and campaigns.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, providing regular updates on organizational initiatives, legislative priorities, and campaign goals to ensure alignment and deepen engagement.
- Plan and coordinate meetings, webinars, and other events that bring together partners, activists, and policymakers.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of partnerships, tracking key performance metrics and providing regular reports on progress and outcomes.
- Leverage partnerships to advocate for the organization’s policy priorities, using coalition building and joint action to influence legislation and public opinion on key issues like campaign finance reform and voting rights.
- Contribute to the organization’s long-term growth by identifying new partnership opportunities and expanding the reach of the organization’s network and influence across the political and advocacy landscape.
- Create partnership proposals, reports, and communications materials that highlight the organization's work, impact, and opportunities for collaboration.
- Represent ECU publicly at meetings, events, panels and other opportunities, and help prioritize meetings and events that organizational leadership should participate in.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership development, coalition building, and stakeholder engagement, with experience in the political, advocacy, and/or nonprofit sectors. Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse partners, including grassroots organizations, advocacy groups, and political leaders, is essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, along with a passion for democracy reform and protecting voting rights, are key to success in this role. Job Location: This is a remote position, but the Partnerships Manager must be located in the DMV area and have the ability to attend meetings and events in Washington, D.C., on a daily basis. Regular work-related travel is required.
