Endeavor Health Services is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Counselor to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in helping individuals and families in our community cope with mental health issues, substance abuse and life challenges. As a Senior Counselor, you will provide counseling and therapy, including individual, group, and family sessions, while also creating treatment plans and offering crisis intervention. You will also be expected to collaborate with other mental health professionals in our network. Your knowledge of evidence-based practices and ethical standards, combined with your commitment to providing exceptional care, will be essential to success in this role. We are looking for someone who is empathetic, compassionate, and highly skilled in the area of behavioral health.
The clinic is located at 150 Mt Hope Ave, Rochester. This location serves forensically connected clients from a variety of referral sources including US Probation, the Bureau of Prisons, NYS Parole, County Probations, the Courts, etc. Candidates must have an interest in working with a diverse population of adults with mental health and/or substance abuse issues including the forensics population.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct services to individuals and families, including assessment, treatment planning, and individual, group, and family therapy
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients’ treatment plans
- Develop and/or provide structured programs and activities to help clients reach their treatment goals
- Develop collaborative relationships with other service providers and community organizations
- Facilitate psycho-educational and support groups
- Work with clients to identify and manage crisis situations
- Maintain client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards
- Provide referrals to other mental health and social service providers
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate and review client progress
- Supervise and mentor counselors and other staff members
- Provide clinical consultation and training to other providers and students
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related field
- Three years of experience in providing counseling services to individuals and families
- Licensed to practice in NYS as a mental health counselor or similar
- Knowledge of evidence-based counseling techniques
- Ability to develop treatment plans tailored to the needs of the individual
- Ability to provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other professionals
- Knowledge of community resources and available services
- Ability to maintain detailed client records
- Ability to collaborate with other professionals and teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Knowledge of relevant research and literature

Salary : $55,263 - $69,088
