- Position: Billing Rep I
- Hourly Pay Range: $19.89-$28.84/hour. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

As a Billing Representative I, you will play a vital role in the billing and reimbursement process. You will be responsible for accurately processing and submitting insurance claims, addressing patient billing inquiries, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize revenue collection.
What You Will Do
- Prepare and submit insurance claims for medical services provided.
- Ensure claims are submitted in compliance with insurance guidelines and hospital policies.
- Verify patient demographic and insurance information/coverage for accuracy and before services are rendered.
- Determine the extent of insurance coverage for specific treatments or procedures.
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve coverage issues.
- Accurately post payments received from insurance companies and patients.
- Reconcile payments with billed amounts and identify discrepancies. Assist in the appeals process for denied claims.
- Process refunds when necessary.
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding their bills with professionalism and empathy.
- Explain billing statements and assist patients in understanding their financial responsibilities.
- Collaborate with patients and teams to address billing concerns.
- Analyze and address claim denials by identifying the root causes.
- Assist in the appeals process for denied claims.
- Associates Degree Health Administration Required
- Previous experience in medical billing and claims processing is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
