A Brief Overview:
Manages the charge capture and review process for Edward Health Ventures. Ensures that all billing charges are captured in an appropriate and timely manner. Identifies, analyzes and reconciles billing errors or omissions. Reviews patient account records and third party payer issues. Indexes scanned items. Provides call center coverage.

What you will do:
- Utilizes ICD, CPT/HCPCS and related materials to investigate charge capture issues.
- Ensures efficiency of processes through regular communication with the management.
- Manages charge review queue in Epic.
- Assists with payor denials and patient questions related to billing issues
- Monitors services performed to assure all encounters are capture within established timeframes.
- Indexes items scanned at the office to appropriate patient.
- Schedules appointments per scheduling guidelines.
- Keeps abreast of current changes in charge capture and reimbursement requirements for government programs and other third party payers.
- Participates in meetings and/or seminars and disseminates the information to peers to enhance the knowledge and skills of the department.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information in all situations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- High School Required
- 1 Year of charge entry experience Or
- 1 Year physician office experience
- Knowledge of billing compliance rules
- Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD, and CPT/HCPCS coding systems
- A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested. Required
