Position Highlights
Responsible for the coordination of clinical pharmacy services in the intensive care units (ICU) to ensure optimal care outcomes. Assists in the development of pharmacy protocols and clinical workflows, as it relates to the ICU and facilitates staff education and development with regard to these protocols and workflows, to ensure competency. Works directly with pharmacy, nursing and physician leaders to develop and maintain guidelines, policies, and protocols, as applicable. Participates in education of nurses, physicians and other ancillary staff in the ICU. Provides support to the staffing pharmacists in the ICUs. Contributes to the direct care of ICU patients as appropriate. Coordinates care with inpatient pharmacists to ensure a cohesive transition of care for patients on transfer in or out of the units. Follows established policies, procedures, protocols, standards, and regulatory requirements in executing job responsibilities. Facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies.

- Hourly Pay Range: $60.24 - 95.29
- The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
- Location: Elmhurst Hospital
- Full Time
- Hours: 7a to 3:30p M-F
- Education (Required):
- Clinical residency with a minimum of 2 years of clinical pharmacy practice experience required, (or)
- Pharm D. from an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy (Preferred)
- Required License/Certification:
- Current Illinois Registered Pharmacist License
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or Red Cross within six weeks of hire into position.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification or within 90 days of hire into position.
- Experience:
- Minimum five years of clinical pharmacy practice experience
