Position Highlights
Reporting to the Lead Electrician, the Electrician provides services to the hospital with regard to testing, repair, and installation of electrical/electromechanical equipment, devices, and power distribution systems
Able to work independently without supervision, trouble shooting, repairing, installing new, demo of old electrical systems. Experience working with 12K and 4160 volt systems recommended. A full understanding of lighting, isolated power systems, automatic transfer switches, transformers, UPS systems, and Data Center Power systems, double ended Switchboards, and Motors Starters/VFDs as related to of hospital electrical systems required. Able to troubleshoot low voltage systems such as Nurse Call Systems, paging/intercoms, lighting controls and relays, fire alarm and CCTV systems as needed. Experience with emergency standby and co-generation generators a must.

- Hourly Pay Range: $30.46 - $45.69 The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
- Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
- Full Time, 40 hours/week
- Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
- Monday - Friday
- Some after hours and weekends as needed
- The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of a certified program in Electrical Maintenance and Construction, trade school, union or military program.
- Experience as an electrician working in a Hospital environment. Thorough knowledge of electrical theory, practice, troubleshooting, construction and local, state and National Electrical Code compliance.
- Basic knowledge of electronic circuits relating to control, PLC control, nurse call, speaker paging systems, fire alarm and building automation systems.
- Knowledge of 12K medium voltage, Co-gen and Emergency Power systems a plus but not required.
