- Position: Medical Lab Scientist
- Hourly Pay Range: $ 28.05-45.69 Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $30.46 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks.
- Location: Edward Hospital 801 Washington St. Naperville, IL.
- Alternate Location: Plainfield Lab 24600 W. 127th St. Plainfield, IL.
- Full Time 1.0 FTE
- Hours: 10pm-6:30am; Includes weekend and holiday rotations.
What You Will Do
- Performs patient tests, manually and through the use of automated clinical laboratory equipment, reagents and/or test methodologies.
- Maintains competencies in accordance with policy/procedure of the hospital and department
- Performs quality control checks per established protocols. Records these QC checks appropriately and takes corrective action when checks are not within established guidelines. Documents corrective action taken.
- Reviews test results for accuracy and notifies appropriate clinical personnel of all critical results. Documents this notification per established protocols.
- Performs instrument checks, maintenance and troubleshooting per department protocol
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), National Credentialing Agency (NCA) or equivalent, preferred
