- Position: Patient Service Representative - OBGYN - Days/Evenings
- Hourly Pay Range: $16.00 - $26.65 The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
- Location: Naperville, IL
- Full Time: 36 hours / week
- Office Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM *One evening per week until 7:00 PM*. Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
- Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provides front desk coverage. Answers incoming calls, schedules appointments, greets patients, registers new patients in EPIC, schedules laboratory and off-site diagnostic tests requested by physician, verifies insurance eligibility and interprets covered benefits. Processes patient charges by totaling fees, applying insurance coverage, calculating adjustments, and receiving and recording payments in computer system. Clinic set-up and other office support.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Keyboard and computer skills
- A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
- Preferred:
- A minimum of three months previous business office OR healthcare based experience
- Previous insurance, managed care experience preferred
- Medical terminology or coding experience
