Job Summary: The MR Center at the Endeavor Health Research Institute, located in Evanston, Illinois and academically affiliated with the University of Chicago, is seeking a full-time Research Associate. The successful candidate will contribute to NIH-funded research projects focused on brain oxygen regulation and related areas. This is a benefits-eligible position based in the laboratory, utilizing a range of non-clinical invasive techniques and advanced assays, including magnetic resonance (MR) imaging and electrophysiology. Employment is contingent upon continued support from NIH grants.

What You Will Do

• Manage and conduct experiments involving various animal models
• Perform complex procedures independently, with minimal supervision
• Collect, analyze, and interpret different types of data
• Prepare scientific manuscripts, posters, and other materials for publication and presentation
  
  

What You Will Need

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s, PhD, or MD preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a biomedical research environment
• Skills: Experience with major invasive procedures strongly preferred. Background in neuroscience, circulatory physiology, or a related biomedical field is advantageous
