- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
- Travel to other corporate sites (Arlington Heights - Skokie) will be required
Job Summary:
The Solution Architect will collaborate with various teams in the architecture of existing and new technologies for Endeavor Health. The incumbent will participate in aligning clinical and business objectives with IT initiatives leading to more efficient and effective operations. Will participates in conversations on strategic decisions helping the organization invest in the right technologies based on deep understanding of clinical and business objectives, cost efficiency, and risk reduction. Evaluates existing IT systems for efficiencies, performance, security, risk, and cost improvements.
The Solution Architect will provide technical expertise in his or her respective domains collaborating with other Solution Architects and business units to contribute to the enterprise architecture strategy. Work with the AVP, Enterprise Architecture and Enterprise Architects on the effective management and delivery of complex architectures and solutions, maintaining focus on quality, risk, and cost management, while navigating operational and organizational dynamics. The incumbent will remain updated on the latest solutions and technologies and advocate for the adoption of industry best practices.

- Contributes to complex enterprise architecture strategies that enable value, quality, growth, and risk management across the enterprise.
- Contributes to aligning IT initiatives with the organization's business objectives.
- Reduces costs and improves resource allocation by optimizing the IT infrastructure and eliminating redundancies.
- Identifies and integrates new technologies to drive business growth and enables the organization to respond quickly to market changes.
- Serves as communication and collaboration bridge between various departments and external partners leading to better project outcomes and a more cohesive work environment.
- Provides insight in a function or specialty through analysis and knowledge of best practices to solve complex problems, driving thought leadership and innovation.
- Develops proposals, responds to business requirements, and provides subject matter expertise.
- Develops a roadmap for the future state of technology which aligns the architecture and processes with business strategies and objectives.
- Explains technology trends and vendor roadmaps in terms appropriate for operational partners.
- Identifies new technologies which can make an impact on the business and create competitive advantages.
- Stays current with IT platform technologies, architectures, best practices, and methodologies.
- Participates in On-Call rotation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor preferred)
- Certifications:
- 2 or more mid-expert level platform certifications including but not limited to VCP, VCAP, CCNP, CCIE, MZ-AZ, NCTSP or equivalent experience
- ITIL, TOGAF, PMP or equivalent experience
- Experience:
- Five (5) or more years of IT engineering experience (required)
- Two (2) or more years of enterprise solution architectural experience (required)
- Seven years IT engineering experience. Expert engineering knowledge across three or more IT Platforms such as MS AD, Cloud, Virtualization, Backup, Storage, Network, Security, or Application Delivery (preferred)
- Three years of solution architecture experience in a highly complex enterprise environment (preferred)
- Experience with operationalizing IT platform solutions (preferred)
- Experience with aligning business objectives with IT initiatives (preferred)
- Securing IT platforms and risk management (preferred)
- Unique or Preferred Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written skills essential for providing positive customer service and good communication with various business leaders and front-line staff.
- Handle difficult clients and situations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Manage multiple projects.
- Personal and ethical accountability
- Demonstrates analytical and critical thinking for problem solving and issue resolution.
- A lean towards curiosity, out of the box thinking, and innovation.
- A team player attitude.
- Strong documentation skills
- A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses his or her personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
