Telemetry Technician – Cardiology - Day Shift

Position Highlights

• Sign on bonus: Yes ($5000/paid in two installments 3 months/12 months) ; Full Time Status ; Must have 1 year Telemetry Monitoring (or related) experience to qualify for the sign on bonus. Employees also must pass Telemetry Test during Orientation period.
• Position: Telemetry Technician
• Hourly Pay Range: $17.51 - $28.00. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
• Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $19.31 base pay hourly rate beginning with May 2025 paychecks.
• Location: Elmhurst Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Day Shift (Rotating Holidays/Weekends)

What You Will Do

Under general supervision, monitors cardiac rhythms and pulse oximetry of patients to detect abnormal pattern variances via telemetry equipment. Notifies nursing and/or medical personnel according to established procedure. Performs clerical related duties as necessary.

What You Will Need

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred Certification :
• EKG Certification
• Experience: Minimum three months of previous healthcare or monitor tech experience.
• Must pass initial and ongoing competencies.
• Unique or Preferred Skills:
• Experience monitoring rhythms of anywhere between 50-70 patients
• Experience with Philips Monitoring System
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
