The Role And What You’ll Do
- Qualifies requests and briefs.
- Develops profit, sourcing, and negotiation strategy.
- Point of contact for vendor destination management meeting requests.
- Works closely with Client Services, Creative, Hospitality, and Production on vendor negotiations, vendor performance and unique programming ideas.
- Maintains initiative-taking, positive, and open line of communication with client and account teams to ensure understanding of deliverable timelines and roles and responsibilities.
- Leads program forecasting and updating business management system with current financials up until the file is turned over to operations.
- Assist Client Services team in managing and planning site inspection documents.
- As needed, arrange brainstorm and creative sessions for destination and programming ideation
- Maintain final electronic files through the process as required by company standard operating procedures.
- Prepare and conduct turnover meetings to the assigned Client Services Team
- Develop and maintain excellent and professional working relationships with industry vendors and clients.
- Look to develop workflow that will help strengthen the cohesiveness between other departments.
- High-level of accuracy and diligence
- Lead RFPs, RFIs, presentation deliverables and special projects as assigned.
- Knowledge of MICE Industry
- Certified Meeting Professional, Meeting Manager, Event Professional (CMP, CMM, CSEP), Project Management certifications or similar preferred
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in planning, sourcing, and designing with a hotel, convention center, DMC, Production Company, or 3rd Party Agency
- Strong Computer Skills: Excel, Word and power point
- Initiative-taker, motivated, and resourceful
