Responsibilities
Translates Government requirements into project plans from configuration to deployment and sustainment for a particular SATCOM subject matter area (i.e., simple to complex systems). Deploy, install, and implement SATCOM at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). Assists other project members with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for SATCOM system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts.
Qualifications
Information systems architecture; networking; telecommunications; automation; communications protocols; risk management/electronic analysis; software; life-cycle management; and modeling and simulation. SATCOM SMEs are authorities on past and current SATCOM technologies necessary for SATCOM mission success worldwide.
