Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in healthcare to join our team at NYU Langone Health. This role will be responsible for managing various projects related to healthcare operations, technology implementations, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget, with a focus on stakeholder management and effective communication. This is a hybrid role requiring one day per week onsite at our New York City location.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of assigned projects, from initiation to closure, adhering to established project management methodologies.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead project team meetings, communicate project updates to stakeholders, and ensure effective collaboration.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, IT professionals, and administrative staff, to ensure project success.
- Manage project budgets and track expenses to ensure projects stay within allocated resources.
- Ensure projects comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA).
- Document project deliverables, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Effectively manage vendor relationships when applicable.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Information Technology).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in a healthcare setting (minimum 3-5 years preferred).
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, processes, and terminology.
- Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PMP or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
- Experience with EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems is a plus.
