Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid: 3 days onsite at Ballantyne, Uptown, or CIC location; 2 days remote)
Duration: 3-month contract with a high likelihood of extension through a 24-month contract based on performance, with potential for full-time conversion.

Mission:
The Data Domain Governance Team within Corporate Finance is seeking two meticulous and experienced Data Management Analysts to support critical Data Quality and Data Defect Governance initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of our data management practices by executing risk controls and collaborating closely with domain executives to ensure the timely and accurate completion of key deliverables. Your exceptional attention to detail will be paramount, as the outputs of your work will be directly presented to Chief Finance Office executives.
Responsibilities:
- Data Defect Management:Manage the data defect lifecycle, including dispositioning and remediation efforts.
- Identify and report on Service Level Agreement (SLA) breaches related to data defects.
- Draft and send issue escalation emails to relevant stakeholders.
- Field and synthesize responses from executive leadership regarding remediation plans.
- Report on the outcomes and effectiveness of the data defect remediation process.
- Data Control Execution:Execute established data controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Contribute to the revision of control procedures related to data defects.
- High-Priority Reporting:Produce high-quality and timely data defect reporting packages for various stakeholders.
- Assess critical SLA breaches, manage escalation communications, and generate comprehensive reports.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Presentation:Collaborate effectively with Senior Managers, Directors, and Executives regarding SLA breaches and proposed action plans.
- Present findings and insights related to data quality and defects to senior leadership.
- Risk Scorecard Analysis:Extract detailed information from Risk Scorecard PowerBI dashboards.
- Compare current data with previous datasets to identify key deltas and trends.
- Develop insightful observations and highlight potential areas of concern for executive review.
- Draft concise and executive-ready summary packages of the Risk Scorecard data.
- Issue Trend Analysis:Assess data flags for recurring themes and missed due dates to inform executive reporting and identify systemic issues.
- Data Validation and Evidence of Review:Validate monthly Domain Council data by meticulously reviewing a wide array of data points against source data and Domain Council presentations.
- Confirm the completeness and accuracy of the data.
- Escalate any identified data deficiencies promptly.
- Maintain thorough documentation and evidence of the review process for audit and testing purposes.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 7 years of demonstrable experience in Data Management.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including extensive experience with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, and data manipulation (loading, updating, identifying inconsistencies, modifying formulas and pivot tables).
- Proven experience managing the data defect lifecycle and implementing remediation strategies.
- Significant experience extracting data from PowerBI dashboards, with the ability to organize, pivot, and analyze large datasets with 100% precision.
- Experience in preparing professional and executive-ready PowerPoint presentations.
- Solid understanding and experience working within compliance, governance, risk controls, and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) frameworks.
- Prior experience within the Financial Services industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data issues clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications (Plusses):
- Familiarity with the Data Management Policy, Procedures, and Data Defect Playbook.
- Prior work experience at Wells Fargo.
