Candidates must be experts with IaC specifically with Terraform – client is looking for a candidate that can take requirements and turn them into terraform templates
Candidates must understand security, resiliency, and reliability within a Cloud environment
Mission:
Looking for a Cloud Engineer to assist in building a path for analytics to be hosted in the Cloud instead of Data Centers. This resource will integrate services through GCP methods to connect to Data Centers, build infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform, and partner with 3rd party vendors, cloud teams, and architect teams to make architectural idea into reality.
Must Haves:
5 years of hands-on experience with GCP services including GKE, BigQuery, GCS, Filestore, IAM, and networking
4 years of experience building Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration with deep expertise in GKE
4 years of experience using Terraform for infrastructure as code including complex cluster provisioning in production settings
Experience deploying and operating using SaaS (Software as a Service)
3 years of experience configuring and managing scalable storage solutions including GCP Filestore, GCS, and BigQuery
GCP or Kubernetes certifications
Experience in cloud migration projects including operating in a hybrid cloud mode
Experience working in agile team and following SDLC routines for code management and deployment
Day to Day:
Build IaC and integrate services through GCP methods
Implement solutions with IaC
Terraform Development and maintenance including writing and maintaining Terraform code, translating requirements into Terraform templates, and testing and debugging Terraform code
Deploying and managing Kubernetes Clusters, defining Kubernetes resources as code, and troubleshooting Kubernetes issues
Integrating GCP services, managing service connectivity, and designing and implementing Network Infrastructure
Partner with 3rd party vendors, cloud teams, and architect teams to make architectural idea into reality
