Overview: Endera Motors is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in designing and developing our electric vehicle (EV) powertrain platforms and HMIs. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to implement, test, and debug vehicle control systems, ensuring our EVs meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
General Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop:
- Lead the design and development of systems for Endera's EV powertrain platforms, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
- Digital circuit and embedded software design to support board to board communication and semiconductor chip control for automotive applications.
- Coordinate and bridge the gap with software engineering to integrate new components into existing and new systems
- Proficient in programming ARM based embedded microcontrollers
- Experience in developing applications on embedded Linux
- Familiarity with digital electronics (communication with DAC, ADC)
Knowledge of industrial system sensors / devices preferred - Design, develop, document and support embedded software / firmware systems in conjunction with continued hardware product development
- Design, develop, document and support microcontroller-based hardware for products which may include power management, sensitive electronic measurements and high-speed serial communications
- Utilize advanced control algorithms to enhance vehicle dynamics and energy management
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
- Work closely with firmware and integration engineers to implement, test, and debug vehicle systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and firmware engineers to define control system capabilities and establish actuation/sensing requirements.
We're Looking For
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience in low voltage or high voltage electrical system development and implementation in an automotive environment.
- Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering theory and systems analysis
- Deep understanding of the physics of electric propulsion, motion control systems, and heat transfer.
- Software and Modeling Proficiency:
- Required engineering experience in embedded Linux development
- Required experience with C and Python programming language
- Proficient with PCB layout (KiCAD preferred) and analog circuit simulation tools
- Excellent documentation practices. Able to prepare documents including data summaries, technical, analytical, and scientific reports, and transfer the procedures to manufacturing
- Experience designing boards in the automotive sector beneficial.
- System Communication and Integration:
- Familiarity with control of linear and non-linear systems
- Experience with CAN and LIN communications for vehicle system integration
- Hands-On Experience:
- Comfort working hands-on with vehicle prototypes, including testing and validation of control systems.
- Experience working with high voltage systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.
- Self-motivated and passionate. Comfortable to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Education and Experience:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
- Preferred 5 years of experience in automotive product development, with a focus on electric vehicles

Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
